Perfectly… slightly…a little bit broken, mentally and physically in every way…

It’s not all doom and gloom though, I have a winning personality, a sense of humour with a fantastic grasp of sarcasm…

I’m Loula, I’m an artist. I started painting on canvas during the first lock down in 2020 to help my then terrible mental health…

I live with anxiety, depression, PTSD and chronic pain. I was also diagnosed as an adult with ASD with traits of ADHD (as are three of my four children).

I not only paint in acrylics now, but also watercolours and digital art – which has been great because physically I can’t always spend too long at my easel and as art is my escape, my distraction, love and a great source of mindfulness it means I can still be creative.

Not only do I sell original paintings, so many pieces I created were so popular I started producing prints, first just as A4 copies and now on greeting cards, postcards, mugs, keyrings, magnets, pillows and even clocks!

I create fan art because I love movies and TV shows, I love painting women as Goddesses to show how beautiful different shapes and sizes are, body positive and empowering. Creating fantasy art in the form of magical fairies and creatures/animals really allow my imagination to fly, and regardless of my poor mental health, I do have a colourful mind.

One of my fantastic four is gay and non-binary so I wanted to use my art talents to start creating pieces to support the LGBTIQA+ community. I have created my Priders (Spiders with a fantastic pride twist) and plan on more designs.

I have ZERO qualifications in regards to art or design. I spent more than 20 years working with children.
